About Us

The Mission

Our objective is clear: to stop the cycle of youth involvement in the justice system by intervening at Pillar I (The Community). We provide a structured path for those at risk of "Code Red" outcomes, moving them toward "Blue Chip" professional futures. We don't just talk about potential; we build the systems that realize it.

Institutional Governance

Together with Calvin E.J. Wilson of Calvin Wilson & Associates, The Empowerment Project (TEP) is an officially approved initiative under the strategic oversight of the London Area Advisory Committee (LAAC) and the South England Conference (SEC) of Seventh-day Adventists. Our operations are managed with global AML/CFT rigor to ensure institutional integrity. From our Hammersmith head office, we maintain institutional oversight. As a result, every project across London and the Caribbean (Trinidad & Tobago) adheres to the highest standards of governance and integrity.

The 4-Phase Framework

We deliver impact through a battle-tested curriculum that addresses the root causes of vulnerability while building professional muscle:

  • Legal Literacy: Equipping youth with the knowledge of their rights and the laws governing the digital and physical world.

  • System Navigation: Transforming youth from subjects of the court into future practitioners—lawyers, judges, and officers.

  • The World of Work: Transitioning from a survival mindset to an elite professional mindset, backed by parental stewardship.

  • The Awakening: Fostering community pride by rooting our youth in the resilient history of the Windrush pioneers and the excellence of our heritage.

Our History

Economic Empowerment

We believe faith and finance must work together. Through our partnership with the Adventist Credit Union (ACU), we bring the church into the operational heart of the project. Participants don't just learn about money; they manage stipends and savings through ACU accounts, building the financial habits required for long-term success.

Global Perspective

Headquartered in Hammersmith, our vision is global. We utilize a "Plug-and-Play" model that allows us to scale our curriculum and governance across the UK, the Caribbean, and Africa. We respect the heritage of our delivery sites—local SDA churches—while demanding the modern efficiency of an international operation.

We are building more than a program; we are building a Financial and Intellectual Fortress for our community.
